Another February means another Fashion Week. Friday 14th saw LFW kick off in style with designers showcasing their AW14 collections. Fashionistas, journalists, bloggers and everyone in between flocked to Somerset House for their fashion fix. During the 5 day madness designers including Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Simone Rocha attract the fashion pack globally to London to view their new ranges.
Here at Skinnydip we wanted to make sure mag teams and bloggers were fully equipped for the hectic week ahead by rounding up some LFW essentials. A few of our favourite brands included product in our LFW Survival Kit which was sent out in our screen printed tote bag designed by Stephanie Rachel Young. Batiste sent over ultra handy dry shampoo (life essential), Metcalfe's sent Skinny Popcorn perfect for snacking on in between shows, Roots & Bulbs supplied us with fresh greens and coconut water (fashion week fuel) and Rock Beauty ensured that manicures were photo ready with colourful nail wraps. These kits went down a storm and we can't thank the brands enough for hooking us up with some great goodies!
I think we can all agree that a phone is a daily essential however during fashion week it is even more crucial. Using social media during shows updates the world globally on the next the next big trends along with who you have spied on the front row (this year Bradley Cooper, Harry Styles, Kendall Jenner and even Richard E Grant have made an appearance). No bag is complete without a phone, and no phone is complete without a Skinnydip case!
We have just launched our new season collection which includes our signature bling but also our wooden 'Jay' clutch. Our Jay clutch is fast becoming a favourite with fashion editors and has been spotted around LFW (and instagrammed by ELLE UK!!). New York based fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein (www.werworewhat.com) picked one up prior to the Topshop Unique show and it worked so well with her outfit. Check it out below!
Bloggers are always out in force around Somerset House and Skinnydip favourites Sabby (http://theyoungeccentric.blogspot.co.uk/) and Maddy (http://fashionobscura.blogspot.co.uk/) did not disappoint with their LFW outfits. Both sporting Skinnydip clutch bags these girls defiantly know how to stand out in a crowd.
We would love to see your LFW pics, hashtag #SKINNYDIPLONDON on Instagram and Twitter. Heres till September...
