So, Pride 2019. Where to begin! This year we did Pride bigger and better than ever, raising money for three amazing charities and working hard to spread an incredibly important message behind our amazing campaign. When figuring out what route to go down, our minds we’re obviously flooded with what flag symbolises Pride, the rainbow. More than anything we wanted there to be a strong message behind what we picked, so we built our campaign around our hashtag #BeyondTheRainbow. One of our main aims was to really go the extra mile to look beyond the rainbow to educate, inspire and create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to enjoy during Pride.

We worked alongside Benefit Cosmetics to create an activation space in central London at White Space in Leicester Square, where we planned a host of fun, educational events for any and all to attend during the week of Pride. We opened up the space with a big ole’ Skinnydip style party – with complimentary biodegradable glitter from A Beautiful Weirdo, drinks from SBS Cocktails, cupcakes from the cake pro’s Lola’s and a special dance performance from The Gay Men’s Dance Company – to say the night went OFF would be an understatement!

On the Thursday we hosted an interactive workshop with amazing author Dom & Ink to celebrate his inspiring LGBTQ+ journal Free to Be Me, where our attendees got to colour their own drag queen in and take part in a fun and colourful art experiment! Along with complimentary mani’s from Nail Club and brow styling from Benefit Cosmetics of course.

Friday, we hosted a ‘Colours of the Rainbow’ panel event with 5 amazing LGBTQ+ panelists where we chatted all about the LGBTQ+ community, coming out, finding your family and the importance of uniting everyone together to build a better future for LGBTQ+ individuals. We’re such big advocates of opening up conversation on topics that some may find difficult, so it really wouldn’t have our Skinnydip stamp on it if we didn’t host an incredible panel!

Saturday was all about celebrating the beauty of London Pride, so we opened up our space to the public and invited everyone in to enjoy the fun.

Our pop up at White Space really was a totally Instagrammable, inviting safe space for all to love and enjoy, and we had an absolute blast so if you joined us, thanks so much!
