GIRL CRUSH WEDNESDAY: Danielle & Nicole Kahlani

Ok, so we’re kicking off our new Girl Crush Wednesday post with mega babes Nicole and Danielle Kahlani. The super cool identical twin sisters are taking the hair and make-up scene by storm. They have worked on fashion and music shoots around the world and have contributed to iconic mags like Tank, Wonderland and i-D. Did we forget to mention they are signed up to modelling agency Anti-Agency and toured with the 5SOS boyz?! We caught up with the power twins below…

Hi gals, who are you and what do you do?
Danielle and Nicole Kahlani, we’re identical twins from London. Danielle is a make up artist and Nicole is a hair stylist.

How did you get into hair & beauty?
We came from an art background, we went on to study at London College of Fashion and did a degree there. Danielle decided to specialise in make up and assisted different make up artists, and Nicole went to work in a Salon and then at Bleach.

What has been your favourite magazine shoot to date?
We did an emoji story for i-D and we have just done a shoot inspired by Chloe Sevigny’s different film looks that’s about to come out in Rollercoaster magazine.

Where is your fave London hang out?
Our bedrooms!

Hair tips?
Choose length or colour because most people want to grow out their hair and changing the colour too often can damage it and stop it growing as well. It’s best to grow it to the length you want and then dye it.

Beauty tips?
Take time to do your skin care and perfect your skin. Good skin doesn’t need a lot of other make up with it!

How much fun is it working with the boys of 5SOS?
It was so great, we loved travelling all over the world. LA was our favourite and the boys are really fun to hang out with!

Whats been your career highlight?
Being able to work and travel together is the best!

Fave Skinnydip products?
We love the Sassy clutch bag and it’s so hard to choose between the phone cases!!
