So you’ve officially moved into your student accommodation and your room is looking a little sad and incredibly basic, are we right? Well we’ve got a few ideas up our sleeves on simple and totally affordable ways you can brighten up your space effortlessly! Drumroll please…
Create a bookshelf area
So obviously being a student means you do actually have to study, so why not add in a little shelf to your space and pop all your books up there? Obviously, a few books with fancy covers do help, but chuck in some plants for good measure and you’ve got yourself a fancy feature!
You’ll be surprised just how much difference a simple poster or two can make to your space! Especially when you’re a student, you need things around you to inspire, motivate and just generally make you feel better! We’ve got you covered if you need somewhere to find these btw! Create a ‘cosy corner’
Although laying in your bed is great, you’re going to be spending a lot of time in there sleeping off your future hangovers, so we’ve come up with an extra special addition to transform your room! Create your own cosy corner with bean bags or a small sofa (dependant on space) and chill here whenever you’re studying, listening to music, reading or just winding down!
Okay so sometimes they can look hella’ tacky we know but find yourself some plain fairy lights and watch your space become instantly transformed! Drape them around your mirror, desk or even on your walls and turn your space from dull to dreamy effortlessly, thank us later babe!
Create yourself a Polaroid wall! Especially when you’re a student, you’re gonna be creating lots of pretty amazing memories! So to brighten up your room dedicate a certain area for Polaroid's, and if your landlord/lady isn’t a fan of things on the wall, find a big frame or grab some string and mini pegs and create your own picture washing line!
