The Met Gala is well-known for being fashion’s biggest night, and as aspiring fashionistas ourselves we can never wait until this time of year rolls around! The 2nd of May 2022 marked the date of this year’s ‘gilded glamour’ theme Met Gala, focusing on American fashion and design. We watched in awe as many celebrities gave and gave and gave with their fabulous looks. Others…well, let’s just say they left a lot to be desired! Read on for our fave Met Gala 2022 looks.
KIM KARDASHIAN
Queen Kim Kardashian gave us all a shock as she revealed Marilyn Monroe’s actual dress at last night’s Met Gala, making her one of the talking points of the night! The stunning crystal-embellished piece hugged her figure perfectly and showed full, glitzy glamour.
BILLIE EILISH
Billie Eilish stunned in a Gucci silk corset dress at last night’s Met Gala. We love the contrast of the pastel green and cream with her chic black updo!
MEGAN THEE STALLION
Gorg rapper Megan Thee Stallion gave us pure golden goddess vibes in a sequined, glitzy ensemble. We can’t get over the feathered shrug over her shoulders. Stunning!
KENDALL JENNER
As well as bleaching her eyebrows for the occasion, Kendall Jenner took our breath away in this extravagant Prada gown! The chic mesh top gave this look the perfect modern touch, while the black ruffled skirt took us back in time to the glam 1900s.
BLAKE LIVELY
Blake Lively gave us a Met Gala experience we’ll never forget as she stepped out in a gorgeous sparkling dress with a metallic mauve sash. The fun didn’t end there - to our surprise, the sash came undone to reveal a jaw-dropping blue train!
LIZZO
Lizzo looked like true royalty in this ethereal look. Her gold-embroidered Thom Browne gown was right on theme - she even went all out and gave us a performance on a gold flute!
CARDI B
WAP singer Cardi B splashed the cash in a Versace gown dripping with gold coins and chains. The fit showed off her curves perfectly and we’re beyond obsessed with the stacked chains around her neck!
We’re so happy the Met Gala has returned to us in its full glory this May. We can’t wait for the fabulous fashion looks next year will bring!
