Q&A WITH G MOSLEY

HEY! LET’S GET TO KNOW YOU A LITTLE BETTER. INTRODUCE YOURSELF AND TELL US MORE ABOUT YOU AS AN ARTIST

I'm G, I'm a freelance illustrator based in North Yorkshire. I love to use my platform as my diary and express my thoughts, feelings and conversations through my comic artwork, even the sillier comics are somewhat related to things that happen to me! I just love to create artwork that brings joy to myself and others, especially in difficult times. I love to know I've brought a smile to someone's face and I definitely feel that we all need some humorous empowerment every so often!

What was the inspiration behind your collection?
Honestly, I just went straight for my most favourite and well loved pieces of artwork and I wanted a mixture of humour and empowerment to be the main theme of this collection.

If you could describe your collection in 3 words what would they be?
Joyful, Comical & Motivating

What’s your favourite design from the collection and why?
It's so hard to choose because I love them all, but I think the fruity booty case is a winner for me. I've not taken it off my phone since the cases arrived and it just brings me so much joy!

What’s been your favourite part of working with us?
The team at Skinnydip have been so supportive and encouraging at each stage of the process when designing the cases and because of this I felt so confident about my final design choices and I cannot wait to show them off now they're launched!

What’s on your bucket list?
Art career bucket list: I would really love to publish a book of my comic artwork, I get so many messages from people telling me how they visit my instagram when they're feeling low and need cheering up. So, I'd love to be able to create a book of my work one day so it's there for people to pick up and look through if ever they need it!

General life bucket list: Disappear off to see some wonders of the world, I've never given much thought to travelling but I feel like I'm ready for some adventure!

What’s the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
The best advice I've been given is honestly pretty simple but it's just to keep going, don't give up even if you feel like you want to because you never know where your hard work will lead you -  it could all turn out far better than you could ever imagine.

Where can people find you on socials?
You can find me at @gmosley_ on Instagram and TikTok!
