Poppy Crew x Skinnydip: Q&A With Poppy

HEY! LET’S GET TO KNOW YOU A LITTLE BETTER. INTRODUCE YOURSELF AND TELL US MORE ABOUT YOU AS AN ARTIST

I'm a freelance illustrator from Bristol, also part time tattoo artist. Graduated from the University of the West of England a couple of years ago and now just working full time. I started selling t-shirts with my designs on during my first year of uni and started slowly introducing more products on my website like prints/stickers ect. And just slowly built my Instagram through uni whilst sharing uni projects I was working on.

If you had to describe your brand in 2 words, what would they be?
Colourful & positive

What does a day in the life look like for you?
Always start my day by walking my puppy, Frog, then depending on the day of the week I'll head down to either my own studio to work on my freelance project or on Sundays/Mondays/Thursday I work part time as a handpoke tattoo artist. Then usually head home around 6/7pm and try and leave my work at home to keep a separation but usually end up doing some in the evenings.

What's your favourite design from the collection?
Probably the sticker one!

What's been the most fun part of working with Skinnydip?
Today! Content day it's always so exciting seeing it all put together and finished.

What's the biggest piece of advice you'd give to anyone wanting to start their own business venture?
Trust the process, don't give up. It takes time to build something good.

And lastly what are you most excited for in 2022?
I've got a few art fares and tattoo guest spots coming up, so excited to move and meet/work with a lot of new people.

My socials are @poppycrew on instagram and my website is www.poppycrew.com
