We’re looking for a Handbag/SLG Designer to join our growing team with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Prior experience within a similar role is a necessity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Working with major retailers to design and develop products across but not limited to bags, small leather goods and gifting.
  • Creating bespoke packaging for products designed.
  • Innovate with new product concepts, print trends and fabrications.
  • Developing unique and creative ranges from initial mood board to final product.
  • Drawing up CADs predominately via Adobe Illustrator and then turning these into functional and technical design packs to be sent off to our suppliers to be made.
  • Liaising closely with our suppliers in the Far East in ensuring products are developed correctly.
  • Keeping a critical path and tracking/monitoring the product development process.
  • Taking ownership of your accounts and working efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Conducting competitor research
  • Closely working with other stakeholders in the business including wholesale account managers and our production team.
  • Uploading designs for approvals on licensing systems
  • Flagging issues and resolving technical design queries
  • Assistance with ad-hoc projects. 

Requirements:  

  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in a design role ideally at a brand/retailer.
  • Creative with a commercial eye.
  • Strong within print and graphic design.
  • Ideally, experience working with licensed ranges.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe packages with a strong emphasis on Adobe Illustrator,
  • A robust understanding of the design and development process with experience working with Far East suppliers.
  • Understanding on how to prioritise workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • A motivated team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and happy to work across different product categories

Ecommerce Assistant

The Ecommerce Assistant will support the Head of Digital & Ecommerce in all duties regarding to the online flagship store, ensuring campaigns are launched effectively with a view of reaching the targets and KPI’s set by the brand.

The candidate will manage the online product catalogue including, descriptions, pricing, photography, upload and testing. Combined with this they will be responsible for the monitoring of inventory for the store, conducting stock checks and highlighting any problems before troubleshooting.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the trading plan is properly executed alongside coordinating assets
  • Completing daily site walkthroughs to flag immediate problems and make relevant changes.
  • Assisting with bug-fixing, identification of website issues, and liaise with our external web development agency on projects and tasks. 

  • Help maintain the visual merchandising across the site. 

  • Organising imagery updates once new collections have launched for template pages across site, and check for images which may need updating or editing.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure products are ready on time for launch – ensuring information is collated and submitted on time for launch.
  • Help assist the team to analyse and make improvements to the customer experience and user journey on the site – identifying opportunities to improve web performance
  • Analyse and create basic reports, collating data based on consumer trends.
  • Publishing and maintaining web products, and categories in a manner that optimises the online customer journey and conversion rates. Ensuring products are published on time and correctly.
  • Create and maintain refinements and filters.
  • Create and review edits to create strong customer-centric stories that drive brand engagement as requested.
  • Maintain New In categories and other continuous Edits
  • Complete weekly site walk and make recommendations for improvement to onsite standards (e.g. banners, snippets, housekeeping) and customer journey
  • Support the development & ongoing maintenance for the personalisation product categories on site & develop a thorough understanding of the full process

 Planning & Analysis: 

  • Assisting with preplanning and creating collections for Newsletters and Homepage Banners – making sure they are in the best order to maximise conversions.
  • Understanding and analysing sales figures within sales reports for weekly meetings, using this to influence decisions on products to highlight.
  • Identifying outdated copy and imagery improvements and feeding back to the team.

Research & Brand Awareness: 

  • Having a thorough understanding of the target audience.
  • Staying commercially aware of competitor’s activity across all channels and feeding back relevant information during weekly meetings.
  • Being aware of key trends and best sellers for Skinnydip and branded.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a creative flair and interest in online visual merchandising.
  • Analytical with basic experience of Excel.
  • Great eye for detail.
  • To be self-led and self-motivated to efficiently contribute to the team

Dual Site Supervisor

The duties and responsibilities of the above role are as follows but are not confined to:

  • Overseeing both Neal street and Camden stores and ensuring both stores are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all staff are fully trained and actively working on online/web customer service as long as the stores are replenished and merchandised correctly and they are not in the middle of serving a customer.
  • Managing retail teams and ensuring staff are offering high levels of customer service and representing the brand in the best way possible.
  • Producing rota’s and timesheets ensuring stores are always open and timesheets are always completed accurately and on time.
  • Working alongside Skinnydip retail team to ensure store is well merchandised. Making commercial decisions when merchandising the stores to ensure we are optimising the full space to encourage sales.
  • Receiving and coordinating deliveries ensuring that stock levels and options are being communicated with the merchandising team.
  • Carrying out stock takes in both stores to minimise stock loss and discrepancies.
  • Ensuring stores are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ordering any necessary supply’s for stores.
  • Recruitment if necessary.
  • Keeping on top of policies e.g. Uniform, staff discount and holiday.
  • Managing sample sale

Accessories Designer Internship

Responsibilities

  • Researching, designing and office admin to support the Designers on the bags, purses, technology, and seasonal accessories departments.
  • Working on both Skinnydip branded label and the opportunity to work on designs for private label accounts such as ASOS, Primark and other international retailers.
  • Attending weekly design meetings and managing workload as delegated by the different members of the design team.
  • Working Closely with different licensors such as Disney to ensure designs are approved in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Far East suppliers overseeing the sampling process on a daily basis. Ensuring spec sheets are followed, timelines are maintained and supporting the suppliers in any questions they may have.
  • Sourcing new innovative fabrics and components across multiple categories.
  • Taking initiative across the business to streamline work load, Identify new ways of working and bring any new exciting ideas to the teams.

             

Key Skills

  • Proficient Computer skills including Microsoft office and Adobe packages: Illustrator is a must and Photoshop will be a bonus.

Our Industry Experience Work Placements are a great way for Students and recent graduates to come into our Studio and gain real life industry experience of what happens behind the scenes in fashion retail. As part of this programme, we ensure that candidates are given the opportunity to take part in any and all areas of the business that they are interested in.

  

This spans across design, production, marketing, buying, merchandising, sales and much more. Candidates will also be given the opportunity to be mentored by our founders and senior management team so they can leave with significant industry knowledge and experience and hopefully improve their chances of succeeding at building a career within the fashion industry. Work Placements range from 1-4 weeks maximum. Our work placements are not paid, but we do cover all travel expenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a strong understanding of influencer marketing, digital and social media platforms, trends and measurement approaches
  • Identify, cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with a broad spectrum of influencers across all channels ensuring they are the right fit for the Skinnydip brand.
  • Manage all gifting activity and outreach to new and existing influencers including established and up-and-coming talent.
  • Build long term relationships with key online influencers, bloggers and models to encourage further content exposure.
  • Assist in the daily management of talent, reaching out to up-and-coming influencers and ensuring all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Develop our influencer partnership programme into a long term, measurable marketing strategy
  • Execute paid content and influencer marketing campaigns from initial outreach, negotiation, final execution and reporting.
  • Project manage influencer partnerships and activity to ensure plans are completed on time and within an established budget, delivering MoM growth across key success metrics
  • Work with the team to generate marketing ideas, content strategy and creative content across all areas of the business.
  • Regular media outreach to traditional print and online press publications, continuing to build and maintain relationships with industry editors

Planning & Analysis

  • Create & plan influencer strategy to increase brand awareness, social engagement and website traffic.
  • Scale the influencer program to include all social media platforms
  • Daily monitoring and tracking of all influencer coverage across channels ensuring all content is documented.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of all events.
  • Leverage a monthly budget to all aspects of the strategy and campaign including product usage, gift cards, paid posts, competitions and collaborations.

Communication

  • Collate & contribute data, feedback and ideas to weekly PR, Social & Events meetings.

Research & Brand Awareness

  • Proactively monitor digital influencer activity across social to report on trends, content and collaborations to get ahead of the next big movement.

What we need from you?

  • Educated to degree level in PR or Marketing related qualification or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Extensive industry understanding across influencer partnerships with experience in negotiation of terms.
  • Have an established influencer database and agency roster
  • Demonstrable experience in facilitating influencer collaborations and supporting events etc.
  • Exposure to client meetings.
  • Basic google analytics knowledge and UTM Parameters build out
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr.
  • Creative with strong copy writing skills and knowledge in social media trends.
